Ask about the completion documentation for a project. Eligible documents can be shared with authorized project contacts.
Where the handoffs sit
- Before removal. The existing system's visible condition and equipment are documented.
- Detach. Panels and components come off and are tracked into storage.
- Roof-ready. You report the roof is ready; that report is recorded as yours.
- Reset. MichoBuilt authorizes and records the reinstallation separately.

Do I need the equipment model to send a project over?
Send what you have. Photos and available project documents help us identify what still needs to be confirmed.
Is roofer-reported roof readiness the same as reinstallation approval?
No. Roofer-reported readiness and MichoBuilt's reset authorization are separate steps, recorded separately on the job.
Who stays the customer's point of contact?
That is agreed per project. Include each contact and their role on the project in the request so the handoffs are clear from the start.
What if the panel count is unknown?
Tick “I don't know the panel count yet”. It never blocks the request — the count is confirmed during the review.
